The studio
Mara Okafor-Lindqvist
Eleven years behind the chair, the last four of them here. I trained in a big salon downtown where I did nine heads a day and hated how little of it I remembered. Now I take one person at a time.
I'm a colourist, not a stylist. I cut, but only around colour. Most of my work is lightening, correcting other people's lightening, and getting grey to sit down without looking flat.
There are two chairs and one of me. The second one is for the person waiting with a coffee, or for when a colleague covers a Saturday.
